I'm trying to finish an one-shot fanfic, but I can't...I'm struggling with grammar.

If anyone's able to help me, which form is correct?

OR
"If there was one thing she didn’t do, it was apologize."

Technically, with this wording, the second one is correct and not the first one--that said, I think the reworded sentence Rollo suggested probably gets your point across better.

^ Yeah, now that I re-read it the second sentence does seem to be correct! I think Marrizle's wording was just a little too casual which is prone to causing confusion. Sometimes it's better to expand it a bit.

Thanks a lot, both of you! I was really struggling to know which way was the correct one...both sounded okay to me. This is actually the first fanfic I'm writing in English, so I'm trying my best, but I love to push myself to the limit. The reworded sentence was indeed great and made me rethink multiple other sentences.

I got 4 injuries at work today, I think one of my coworkers thinks I'm incapable and doesn't like me, I'm even more sore than I've been being, and I feel like my soul is dying.

I hate this life so much. I hope I can keep doing this for the next four months. There's absolutely no way I'm going to keep doing this when I start grad school. I have to get accepted and get everything sorted. January seems really far away, but I guess it's close when compared to forever.
