What? Why vote one way or the other without knowing what the EU even is?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised though.

I'm not surprised. I wish I was, though. :/

After a nice walk at my favourite place earlier, I'm over my disappointment with the referendum result. Life goes on and we just have to hope that the new government that will be formed following Cameron's resignation, is strong enough to get the economy through the exit process. Life goes on.

If there's any consolation to take from this, it's that we won't see many changes for another couple of years. You never know. We could get a really great PM during that time. Scotland (and possibly the part of Ireland that still remains with the UK) will either be out before or around the time the UK has officially departed from the EU.

One thing I will say--should we get a general election in October to vote for a new PM, and it doesn't automatically become the Tories decision, please go out and VOTE!

Exactly we haven't left Europe, just the Union by which European countries trade under. That's my understanding of it anyway.
I think Si has the right idea, I went out to the library and for a nice bike ride with my friend and I'm kind of over it now.
As someone who lives in the UK and voted remain, all I can do now is hope for the best going forward and ideally we will all work together to get there and continue to support each other instead of pointlessly bashing everyone's opinions.

I participated in the Scottish referendum. Trust me, I know all about that.

It's a bummer I've either got training the next day or I'm on vacation during every one of our local planetarium's Sci-Fi Sundays. I would've loved to have seen Close Encounters in 360. Hoping they have another one later on in the year. I'd like to see The Fly on that sort of screen, or E.T.

The problem is that if this causes a domino affect it'll become much harder for people who rely on travel to get around Europe without free movement, and it'll also be harder for people to immigrate to countries that leave. It's a scary thought when we've all had a given right to live wherever we wanted within the EU/EEA and this could be compromised.

Personally not impressed because it could mean a big change of future plans if visas become the norm again. As someone who loves travelling this is an awful thought and could cause many problems as well as increased travel costs. :/

I just bought The Force Awakens and Zootopia (Blu Ray + DVD + Digital HD edition + bonus features), a pair of comfortable shoes (needed this for a while) coffee, a couple other necessities, a Pokémon bag and shirt, and I still have $76 left. Maybe this doesn't sound amazing to y'all, but I have never spent so much money and had any left before so this is kind of a big deal to me.
