Marrizle and Tsuki - Oh it drives me insane when people look down their noses at babies. It's their only way of communication and if they are in pain, that's how they tell you. I'm sure she whines and moans when her teeth ache too. Ugh. Stupid cow. I personally don't like smoking, but I won't purposely go out of my way to scowl at people who do it as they walk past me. Their choice to smoke, not mine so I'll just ignore. I wish more people had that attitude.


As a parent myself I am more tolerant of kids screaming these days as they could have special needs or ADHD. The mothers that don't even attempt to control their kids though.... That's a whole different kettle of fish. XD

I know exactly what you mean. Working helped me so much last year. I had to leave high school in October of 2014, a year earlier than I wanted to, because my mental health got so bad. I was lucky enough to find a job early 2015 that kept my mind off how lonely I was for about six months or so. I'd even do double shifts just because it kept me occupied. Unfortunately I was let go from that job, and I guess I lost my motivation to find anything else. I didn't mind it for awhile, mainly because I still had my friend group to keep me socially active, but eventually I had to part ways from them. I've lost a couple more friends since then too. Not to drown you all in self pity, but it's been a really unfair year for me.

I'm hoping for better times this year. I have things planned, I just wish they could start sooner.

Pretty much yeah. I don't blame the kids even if I don't like it when they're noisy in the slightest, but if their mothers don't even try to do something about their attitudes sometimes...

I dunno how I overslept but it's a thing that happened. I don't even think I went to bed late...?

I completely agree. Some kids are just demons and their mothers make it all worse. Especially those who're like "awww, look, that's so cute!" when their child is doing something bad. Yes, because kicking someone they don't know is very adorable.

I've recently learned that all of the writing staff on Orange is the New Black are white (or predominantly white), and when you consider the nature of the show, its themes, its characters and maybe of the dialogue used in the script, you can see why so many people dislike it. A lot of black people in particular have vowed to never watch the show again and I'm beginning to see why. I feel like the writing staff are exploiting a lot of issues regarding minorities and making possibly racist assumptions about those minorities in the process. It's a shame, because this was a show that I really thought was one of the best in terms of being socially progressive

It doesn't make me hate it, and anybody who uses the racism card to outright say they hate it should really watch a few episodes before they do...but it does bother me a lot. It's so surprising, too. Really? There's not one person of ethnic minority on the writing team?

yeah, I still haven't seen the third or fourth seasons, but I've been hearing and thinking about this issue pretty frequently lately. I also remember reading some interesting thoughts on the topic of Boo's character being lesbophobic. my interest in continuing to watch the series has waned anyway, but the increasing critical dialogue surrounding it is making me even less eager to dive in again.

I do think there are a number of positive attributes in the show. not to mention the fact that Sophia's episode in season 1 made me BAWL uncontrollably which is something i never do......(it just really resonated w/ me as a trans person who has had trouble in romantic relationships w/ cis ppl). the most appealing factor for me is how, when you're watching it, you just NEED to know what happens next - it's pretty gripping. so maybe I will catch up someday, but definitely not with the same enthusiasm as before
