I thought he was from Singapore

I've never been truly unsatisfied with this show, and I'm super hyped for the next season. It's the only liveaction show along with The Office and Parks & Rec that I've bothered to watch until the very end, which kinda says a lot when it comes to me
Si Targaryen wrote:^ I agree, it lacked a strong storyline arc. Having seen the trailer, I'm hopeful for an improved season 4.
I personally found OITNB great, until I watched a few other shows and started losing interest in that one. So much that my favourite season is the first.

lelizwe wrote:There's different things about OITNB that have an appeal to me. The writing is (usually) superb. I love how queer-friendly it is and I adore how the majority of the actresses/actors are natural people. There's no big celebrity names in it or at least, there wasn't when it started. The show's cast are all very talented people who, in some cases, happen to also be attractive, which I guess is a bonus. It's refreshing that everyone looks normal and not a bunch of people who were clearly chosen for their looks. Different body-types, tons of different races. The characters are always really well developed in it too, and for once I actually care about them so that always helps.
Especially in the case of the women - there's a variety of characters, some who are quite old, and yet they're always given the treatment and respect they should be. I really admire that. And it's good to get away from TV shows focusing prominently on obnoxious young adults, which seems to make up quite a majority of TV these days![]()
Maybe I'm bitter, being an obnoxious young adult myself
Yet, I wouldn't say it's the best show from Netflix. However, just like everything, this depends on everyone's personal preferences.
