The latest I ever submitted something was at 11:53pm, when it was due at 12am the next day. I didn't know the assignment would be due that day until I woke up that morning, and I had to cancel my plans for the evening to spend the last three hours of the night working on it.
Aside from that, I usually submit my assignments 3-4 days ahead of the due date. Sometimes, during the middle of the semester, there's so much to do that it becomes impossible, though.
