I don't watch it either, but I do check out a few submissions after it's over sometimes. Partly because most of the submissions are generic pop music, partly because it's secretly political as I said.

Is it just me who wants Eurovision submissions to be in their native languages? I do see why people would want them in English but I enjoy hearing each countries' native languages more and seems a bit more cultural than favouring English all the time.

You're definitely not the only one. Most of Portugal's entries have been in Portuguese, because most people here share this view. I personally believe each entry should be sung in their native language and, for countries with multiple official languages, both languages could be included in the song or it could change every X years. Just my opinion.
