5th gen starters weren't great, 6th gen were okay (particularly liked Fennekin) - but yea you'd probably just get used to them. To be fair there were some pretty dodgy Pokemon designs before Gen 4 too lmao

Yeah I'm one of the mutants that didn't like the 3rd gen so much and that gen's new Pokemon probably had a lot to do with it. Not that the 4th gen was a saint either though. (Purugly... shudders)

Yeah I have a soft spot for the 4th gen too because Pokemon Pearl was the first Pokemon game I ever owned (and Platinum made it amazing).

Imo every Pokemon gen has its hits and misses. I wouldn't call Voltorb and Electrode, Seel, Diglett and Dugtrio, Mr. Mime, Raticate, Sunflora, Unown, or Skiploom and Jumpluff good designs. Those range from terrible to meh at best for me.

I have to say, in terms of Pokemon designs, 6th gen is really up there for me. I only dislike Diggersby and the Binacle line, and Quilladin to a lesser extent, but that's a midvo so I'm far more forgiving. Compared to the massive number of 5th gen Pokemon I don't like, 6th gen proved quality over quantity is the way to go.

Absolutely awesome day at the animal park today ^-^ Baby enjoyed herself too and had lots of fun in the soft play area <3
