Why don't people get that "y'all" is a contraction of "you all," and that, by extension, we southerners do NOT say "y'all" when talking to one person, and also that it isn't spelled "ya'll" as that would be "ya will"?
This irks me greatly. Apparently we southerners aren't the stupid ones, even if we are prejudiced hillbillies. Christ.
