Most on-topic discussions (not related to TLG) have been done to death, and I think that's a huge part of it. Everyone's tired of arguing about whether or not Kopa is canon, etc. There's been a recent boom in activity (by MLK standards) in the TLG board, and several members joining because of TLG, but that hasn't brought up much new discussion for pre-TLG topics, and likely won't.

Plus, most of the members still here are older now and have new interests, and busier lives. I don't know how many TLK projects I've tried to start that went nowhere so I never bothered posting them. I also think it could be useful to have the chatbox on the front page again, but I also forget why it was taken down. I'll bring it up to the rest of the staff and find out.

I wasn't here in 2010, and the forum will never be the way it was in the past because things will always change and such is life. I will say it's much better than it was when I first became active back in summer 2012. It was a mess back then, and I didn't help.

It does tend to be more active in the summertime, in my experience, so that is probably part of it.

Well, if all this stuff about MLK being a mess back in 2012 and the like is as bad as people seem to say it is, then I'm glad I joined a few years after that. And I'm sure finals and the like are probably playing a role in the decline in activity in the past few weeks. Finals suck. I have them coming up. Kill me.

2012 saw some very... curious incidents on MLK.

It honestly wasn't so bad if you were just minding your business but if you tried to get involved in decisions it certainly got frustrating sometimes. Staff changes could be met with quite the resistance and there just seemed to be a lot of rushed actions from both sides.

Knowing my hatred of drama that probably would have sucked for me had I been there. Though I probably would have just tried to mind my own business and not get involved.

Thinking about it some more, in retrospect, MLK's worst issues were really some very questionable members in the past. We had like I mentioned a very bad case back in 2012 before, and more recently which I don't know much about is with this 'Adofo' character. Legitimately manipulative and sometimes damaging and dangerous people. Forum issues were nowhere near as bad as people like that. I'm glad the staff wasn't lenient in those cases.
