How a character in the story I'm reading gets paid $5000 per week for babysitting four boys, while I got paid nothing for watching three kids four days in a row. 
(Granted, the boys she's babysitting are teenagers from a band, while I just babysat three little kids who are pretty easy to tend to, but still.)

How it can be that some peoples I've seen at stores look and look for something completely oversighting that its right in front of them, but have the nerve to look annoyed when you point it out to them??!
