Thinking about life of Pi as I saw a video analyzing it, emphasizing the religious aspects. I never viewed it as being that heavily focused on religion though, instead pitting Religion, Rationality and the instinctual will to survive, as represented by an adult male Bengal tiger, against one and other where only that iron will would prove unfailing until the end of the ordeal, upon which it would vanish from Pi's life.
