I remember when I lived in Washington I ended up putting a big piece of insulation on the inside of the window and it blocked out all the light. Made sleeping and stuff so much nicer. I ended up sitting there and thinking... "why didn't I do this earlier? I'm moving out in like a year."
Anyway, I want to do some drawing, I think. I've gotten so much better over the past couple of months and it's really encouraging to see the improvement. I wonder if it should be humans or animals, though...
I put a blanket over the window in my room, lol. The one I had when I wrote that was much cozier, but my brother wanted it so I have an even more ghetto looking one, but whatever lol.
Also, go for it! All the drawings!

That's why my room is painted gray and black, and I've got some nice blinds over my windows. With me never keeping a consistent sleep schedule, and with the potential need for naps at any time, gotta be able to sleep during the day.
My walls are just brown. The house only recently became ours and there's so many pictures and posters on the walls that it would be a hassle to paint them now. If I'd chosen the color, though, I probably would have chosen grays and blacks as well, though I'm currently thinking some more vibrant colors among the dark ones would be wise. I do sleep in the daytime always, but I think cheerier colors would be good for my mood. Totally understand your dark colors, though!
