My brother punched me multiple times because I took my sister's phone (which he's not supposed to be on because he's grounded) away from him. And then, when I was on the floor crying from the pain, what do my siblings do? They laugh at me and make fun of me because I can't take hits.

Basically, I'm crying because no one cares about me.

The hell? Your siblings sound like total scumbags, to say the least about such sadists. I'm sorry you have to deal with such crappy people, that's just awful and uncalled for.

Lol, BS. The lengths some people will go to to excuse their behaviour than take responsibility for it is amazing.

Look, Elsa. I won't pretend to be a mind reader and tell you who cares about you and who doesn't in your life, but humans are not defined by who loves them. There's far more worth to be measured in someone than by the amount of people who care about them. You'll meet many more people throughout your life and I guarantee you a lot will be far better than the ones currently surrounding you, you just have to hold on a little longer until you can get away from such toxic people. Then you can have more peace of mind and get to choose who to let into your life.

I just don't know when I'll get away, especially since my dad changed plans so if I don't go to my first-choice college, I'm stuck in this house for another X amount of years with no way of escape except at work (if I'm able to get a job). It's just all a big mess, and I hate it so much.

Gah, it sounds like it. Would your parents cause a fuss if you tried to move out on your own? Because if you do manage to get a job you'd be able to save up in order to move out.

Yeah, I can imagine. It's hard to know what to expect from those kinds of people. Personally I'd recommend not stressing yourself too much over 'what ifs'. Just try your best to cope with the situation (whether it be books/films/etc, whatever makes you happy) and see if you can get a source of income to work towards moving out if your first-choice college option doesn't work out, and figure out what to do from there once you get to that point.

No problem, you're always welcome to hit me a PM if you need to vent about stuff like that. I'm a bit rubbish at giving good advice but I do listen if you need someone to talk to about this crap, I know first-hand how it feels so I can definitely relate.
