He is at rest, and I am so blessed to have known such an incredible man. I really wish I didn't have to miss his funeral. Seems I'm always travelling when someone passes away.

Sorry to hear that you're missing a funeral.
I know the feels. My one friend had hers during Winter Break back while I was in high school, and I happened to be away with my mom. All my other friends went and I was basically the one person not there, simply because I had parents living in different states. :sMaybe it was for the best, though. Last time I saw her she was alive and happy and not in a box. It might have been even more of a shock for me if it had been otherwise.
