hey guys I dont know if anyone mentioned this before about the Mufasa situation, but Ive been thinking what if the reason of Kion being able to speak with Mufasa more is due to the fact that since Scar was the Lion Guard, Mufasa had some knowledge of his brothers job and would scold scar on not doing his job right. SO since no one was was able to be a lion guard leader during Simbas life growing up till the time Kion was born, so since Simba had no idea how the lion guard worked, Mufasa is the only one who can coach his grandson due to his brothers background, also it could also be too that since Scar never took his job seriously Mufasa was left to do some of the work for his brother minus the roar, then after the time Mufasa died and Simba grew up the prielands took a turn for the worst do to scars reign. and once Simba had become king the pridelands needed time to recover back to normal before any lion guard took on the job.

I made a similar theory in one of my episode reviews that the reason Mufasa speaks to Kion so frequently is because he saw Scar's self-destruction thanks to the power of the roar, and he wanted to ensure that his grandson did not suffer the same fate. And also since Simba is Kiara's mentor because he's so familiar with the duties of being a ruler (it's really not his fault that he doesn't know much about the ways of the Guard, but he could spend a little bit more time with poor Kion!) it makes sense for Mufasa to mentor Kion in a similar way.

I don't hate Bunga, but I can definitely see why people would find him annoying. He has gotten better with each episode (the episodes in general have), but it does get a bit old and frustrating how he's constantly the attention of the writers. Even if in a secondary side-storyline. "Bunga and the King" seems to still be four episodes away. Hopefully they'll keep him more in the background until then. He's the kinda character you need some breathing space from every now and then, to appreciate him more.

How do you guys feel about the show in general, so far? I'm enjoying it. Not in love with it or anything as of now, but certainly hasn't disappointed me in any bad way. Nowhere near as good as the movies, but wasn't expecting it to be. I think there's many small critical errors they're making, though. Things you wouldn't really even think about. The show's clearly influenced by MLP, but it makes me appreciate all those small things MLP does right, that TLG is kinda struggling with. Anybody see what I mean?

i sure enjoy the show, i think they put bunga in for the less intelligent kids, those need entertainment on their level too. i love all the characters and the appereances of also genets and servals. i hope they have an episode with a leopard too. also there is this baby elephant that is realllly ugly what makes him extra cute! i love the designs voices and music. very cute and innocent. the soundtrack is epic.

Here's a neat little video about the music of TLG. I absolutely adored being able to see Call of the Guard's Swahili chanting being recorded! I didn't realise there was a mix of ethnicities singing it (I'm fairly sure that all of Lebo M's choir were black, or if not at least from some part of Africa), it's pretty cool.
