I get why UK people are upset their merch hasn't been released yet, but the theory that the merch was so popular here that they couldn't get it over there makes me excited. That means we'll get more merch, more seasons (season 2 was just renewed I believe)! Honestly, Disney underestimating it's popularity and not producing enough merch is like best case scenario. (for me anyway, a US citizen who has access to the merch that WAS released, lol sorry guys)

Also, I recently bought a blind bag. I checked the number on the back and it was 1 for battle Kion, but when I opened it, it was golden Kion! Wasn't he supposed to be #8? I wonder if they changed the code to make his code the same as battle kion to make him more rare?

It's not just the UK, it's the whole of Europe, which is why it's a bit annoying for us, understandably. It could possibly be due to not having enough stock but I am doubting that... then again, who am I to know? I think it's possibly due to transportation problems too. If the rumours I'm hearing are correct, some stores already have their stock ready in boxes but others do not. Seems to me it just hasn't been distributed enough yet to qualify for an official release.

And yes, I think more merch is inevitable and was from the start - after all, this franchise is already well established and they probably knew the merch was going to sell well, kids would just mistake Kion for Simba and buy it anyway. Stuff like that.

But it definitely is good news.

I wouldn't say that success was inevitable. It doing well at first was because of the universe it's in, but people could have easily seen the premier, not liked it, and not continued to tune in, and we would have only gotten the first batch of merch. There was a pretty big drop in ratings from return of the roar to the first episode after all. I was kinda preparing myself for disappoint with an attitude of "Enjoy what you get because that might be it" but I'm really glad I was wrong.

the promo sounds as if we will get more, the US never got any stationary, and collectible wise? could that be like ornaments or even little keepsakes?

It would be great if we could get some exclusives, given that the US always get so many exclusives too. It makes trading a lot easier when there are things only available in one part of the world

Also, checked Disney JR magazine. One Lion Guard poster in the middle of the mag. That was it as far as I could tell. No TLG stickers or TLG freebie. Not even an actual story or article. Next month didn't show any TLG stuff either

I'm also kinda surprised that there are no Lion Guard or Zootopia easter eggs. Just Frozen and Star Wars again.

UK will probably get exclusives such as stationary, but I think that even more stationary will be released at target and Walmart and even asda too, so stationary isn't really trade worthy. Plus, I think you will probably get exactly the same things...

Trust me - when you find the serious collectors, even country exclusive stationary is tradeable

And Disney Store Europe have actually been known to get a good amount of exclusives which the US never received. Likewise, the US branch receive stuff that never makes it over to Europe (such as that limited Can't Wait to be King Simba plush).

Yeah, so it's equal and fair but what's not fair, is that Europe has to wait longer! It's so mean!!!
Edit: went to target today. They had a good selection of TLG stuff like the brawler Banga and Prideland play set - and the new Deluxe figure set!!!! I was so hyped and it was so huge and amazing! I was gonna stuff that in the basket immidiatly- until I saw the pride tag. I mean, I was thinking maybe $19.99 but sadly, Disney was sly and knew what reall collectors would pay for this, so they took their pounce and priced it up at a whopping $39.99!!! That's insane! So regretfully, I put it back on the shelf and hoped that when I came back to target they would still have it (they prob will no normal parent is gonna buy that for their kids at that price) and buy it with my non- target gift card stash which I didn't have with me. I really want it!

I was wondering how much the delux figure set would be... That's the one with the guard, janja, simba, rafiki, timon and pumbaa, right? That's just too much! :'( Maybe there'll be a sale at some point, because it's really important that's it's mine.
