I find it really unfair that they're able to release that with no problems, yet TLG has been held back for Europe? Is it due to high demand in the States? Have they not got enough merch to stock over here? It's even worse when they don't give us an answer, and just leave us waiting for months...

At least they've realised their mistake and updated the promo. Surely we have to be getting the merch before it debuts in April as a series, right?

I hope so as well...I have a feeling TLG merch will be sold out, shortly after it hits the shelves in Europe, too. Many people have been requesting it. :/

lelizwe wrote:Does the Ono blind-bag figure actually exist? I've never seen a photo of him aside from the one on the back of the packaging. Kinda strange. He's rarer than the Golden Kion.

I honestly think he was never fabricated. It's extremely odd that, in an entire country, absolutely no one has the Ono figure. :?

Hopefully you can give us a heads up if anything's on the way :D

Still got my hopes that the DS will release TLG merch before the end of March. I was hoping it would be next week, but I'm not so sure now. I mean, they have brought out the Finding Dory merch, but it's not that extensive. Neither is JB's range. Either they'll focus on expanding those two over this month, or they might just squeeze in TLG too....?

@Marizzle, yeah, I don't think he was ever released either. If he was there's only a few out there. Major manufacturing mistake there, I think! And I agree that there's a good chance the DS merch will become sold out over here. I can't help but wonder why they don't just take the opportunity for a major influx of cash and release it...

I've got a feeling that a LOT of the UK's non-DS merch will be released over the summer months. I guess it's give me some more time to save money!

Maybe, they noticed it and, instead of fixing it, they simply used the chance to "force" people to buy more, hoping to find Ono. It wouldn't be the first time something like this happened.

I definitely agree with you about the DS merch. I don't understand why they're allowing themselves to lose money by wasting time and I'm pretty sure many people are already ready to buy TLG merch right now. Maybe, they're waiting for the movie to be released in most European countries? After all, some release dates are in March. :/

That's a good theory, actually, though I believe there are some release dates for RotR in European countries going into April, when Disney Junior UK will start airing the show as a series. So that wouldn't really make sense if they were waiting for everybody. You never know, though.

And I'm assuming that when the DS in the UK releases its merch, the other European stores take heed and release theirs too? I've not enough experience with the foreign Disney Stores to know.

I've tried working out when ours would be released based on when the American store released theirs. I believe the US Store released their merch at the very beginning of January, right? A good few weeks before the show would air on the 15th. If that's the case, then we should be seeing the merch hit the stores in Europe anytime between next week and the week after, before the show debuts in what I'm presuming is early April. If it's mid/late April, perhaps it'll be a little bit of a longer wait.

I'm assuming that they want to flaunt the merch so that little kids buy it and are encouraged to watch the show, boosting the viewer count and hopefully gaining a few fans who will continue to give their money to Disney for more merch. That's my thinking, anyway.

Yep, I definitely agree with everything you've said. I actually think the same, honestly. I said that "release dates" thing mainly because it is a possibility. :/

But, about foreign Disney Stores, what you've said is correct. When merch is released in the UK DS, most European ones also release that merch in theirs. :)

According to one of the customer service cast members, they ordered Lion Guard merchandise a while ago, and it was indeed scheduled for release a week or so ago. Apparently, they're having problems importing the merchandise into Europe. Which is weird, since they already have some of it out in DLRP.

I don't know, it just seems like Disney really underestimated Lion Guard's popularity (ironically, much like they did with Lion King).

Image is an Epic Mickey concept art. We could have had this in EM3. I still want it.

^Oh, truly? That sucks. I hope it gets to Europe soon enough!

I completely agree. They appeared to think it wouldn't be "good enough" to be released out of the US so soon. :?

Actually, that makes a lot of sense considering what they said on the promo. It was supposed to be out before February ended. That's strange that they're having importing problems. I mean, the US merchandise has been so successful. Did they not think we'd have a similar reaction? Or is it legit problems with the transportation? Hm.
