Not every theme song needs lyrics. Although, really, The Lion Guard has lyrics in its theme song. There is singing. It's just not in English. It fits the show and I really like the theme song that it has. The show has a lot going against it, being billed as a preschool cartoon when I really think it fits more into the TV-Y7 range. If it had a childish theme song with childish lyrics, a lot of people probably wouldn't watch it or give it a chance.

Call of the Guard does have lyrics, but they're not in English, which is suiting. It's African chanting and I believe it may be Swahili, but I'm not educated enough in those languages to be able to say for sure. I'm desperate to find out what the real lyrics are since African is one of my favourite music genres, and I like to be able to (badly) sing along :P

It fits well with the original movie since that incorporated a huge amount of sub-Saharan languages into its score. It's just another homage to TLK, and one that I'm delighted to see making a return.

In The Lion Guard Wiki, they have put on lyrics to all the songs. You can take a look on them. I've already made a lyric book based on these. :D

For example:

Being a perfect collection of people's emotion, TLK is so strong that it truly strikes into my heart.
