I like most 80s pop, and I like some K, and Mandopop. Also some more recent American/European pop (I like Lady Gaga okay), but I mostly don't pay it any mind. I like some hip hop and rap artists, too, but mostly I listen to either soundtracks or alternative rock/emo music from the 90s and before-2013 days of the 2000s. Mostly because I'm too lazy to look for more music. Hawthorne Heights, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Blink-182... that kinda thing is probably my jam.
I also really love William Control whom Tora and Twin should check out but I wouldn't recommend to most people because of the content.

That's what I meant when I said I don't dislike the general sound of pop music. I actually really do like those two songs, and MJ as an artist. But I agree. Most pop simply isn't of that quality. When you got guys out there rhyming "Kodak" with "Kodak"... you know something's up.
EDIT: Ninja'd. I will also add that Lady Gaga is one of the few modern ones I actually like, also. Can't really say why but I've always kinda liked her. And I'll check that guy out, thanks. ^^ I'm mostly into alt stuff myself.
