Love it when I make the mistake of thinking I can run a platformer that was made post-2010. Seriously, gaming industry? Platformers shouldn't lag period, I don't care about flashy effects killing the FPS that you can't turn off.

EDIT: No seriously this is one of the reasons I've been turned off most games recently besides general lack of interest in recent titles. It seems absolutely everything nowadays has like 3095820 effects running in the background of the game that you can't turn off for some reason and they make everything lag ridiculously bad unless you can afford an expensive gaming rig, even for titles that shouldn't be freaking demanding. I'm not trying to play the freaking Witcher 3, I'm trying to play a damn platformer.
