To start listing ds rpgs i loved i'd include

The etrian odyssey franchise. 1-3 on the ds
The dragon quest games (including the dq monsters titles, ports of dragon quest 4-6, dragon quest 9)
Shin megami tensei strange journey
Kingdom hearts recoded (not as good as kh1-2 but still a fun game)

There were a few really good digimon rpgs
Dragonball z attack of the sayajins was an rpg and my fav dbz game.
Like you mentioned the pokemon and mario and luigi titles
Chrono Trigger got a decent port
I loved 'the world ends with you'.
Radiant Historia was good.
So wad solatorobo

Also the ds had the 'phoenix wright: ace attorney games' which while not rpgs, are great.
