Tali shoved Xandra off and nodded at Balius, accepting his half hearted apology as they continued their journey, making haste and putting as much distance between themselves and the chimera.

''Now, let's find a safe chimera-free haven somewhere."

Balius was at the head of the group, Xandra not far behind him. Tali hung back though because Eon was beginning to lag and soon his steps were becoming heavier and more stressed.

"Look, there's no way you're going to be able to hold on much longer, why don't you let Balius or me carry you?" Asked Tali.

''No, I don't like to be carried around like a ragdoll.'' muttered Eon as he resisted the venom's effect and settled forth.

After a while of walking, they stumbled upon another cave. It was too small to be a chimera's den however.

''I'll go check if it's safe.'' said Balius as he entered the cave.

About 28 seconds later Balius returned and gestured them to come in.

Xandra sniffed the outside of the cave, not truly trusting the judgement of Balius before entering. The she wolf deemed it worthy only a few seconds later and entered, flopping to the ground.

Tali on the other hand was helping Eon who was struggling with the toxins of the poison.

With every ounce of his strength, Eon worked himself in the cave and sat down, feeling slightly worse than before. If only a few minutes longer he'd be no longer able to walk without losing his balance.

''I guess you wait here and look after him while I'll go get the antidote.'' said Balius.

''By the way, don't get the wrong idea. I'm no friend to you guys, I'm only 'helping' your head-knight because I want him to be healthy and at his fittest when I'm fighting him again.''

Xandra settled down at the mouth of the cave, laying down and crossing her two forepaws, resting her head atop of them and letting out a tired sigh. 'Least we're getting rid of that damned asshole. Let's just hope that venom kills the other asshole off and the dumb werewolf gets eaten by an ugly chimera....'


Deeper within the cave, Tali tried assisting Eon much to his dismay as Balius mentioned he was leaving to fetch the antidote by himself. Sitting down besides her poisoned companion, she turned to Balius and replied, "That's it? You're just leaving us in this cave while you go frolicking back to the elves for the antidote? What are we supposed to do? Or more importantly, what is Eon supposed to do? I know nothing of healing and my best use is making this as comfortable as they can get in a musty cave while offering reassuring words. Sitting my ass right here isn't going to do anything."

''Well I don't know, just make his ass and yours comfy or something. And if you want to be helpful, then help him overcome the lesser side effects that are yet to come, which include fever. It's no guarentee of his survival, but at least it will help him fight the venom and delay his death long enough until I return.'' replied Balius. ''Chimera venom is nasty. It takes a while before the victem dies, leaving it's victem in a long time of agonising sickness.''

''As for what Eon is supposed to do? Staying alive of course. I'd never forgive him if he died without having fought him again. Now, I may seem bulky and slow but I am a quick traveler with little need for sleep or food, plus I know many shortcuts. So expect my return in two days at most.''

Having said those words, Balius left to get the antidote, leaving them in the safe cave, which was too small for chimeras to enter.

Vuldred approached Norsa'Ull and was now standing with his army of Shadow Knights in front of the tower, waiting for Ghost to arrive.

"These will be the most unbearable two days." Remarked Tali, turning to Eon who looked as if he were writing in pain, "I guess we're at your mercy until you come back. Do hurry back." She said watching as Balius walked past Xandra and out of the mouth of the cave, disappearing off into the distance.

"Don't go dying on me in here."

Ghost had made the journey back to Norsa'Ull with little trouble. However the heavy burden of having lost Eon twice, once to cowardice and the other to pure tactical failure, was weighing her down. She just prayed Vuldred was in a good mood.

''I will try not to, because I know you will miss making fun of me with that Kitty-girl.'' replied Eon sarcastically as he placed his hand on his leg to suppress the burning sensation.

''And I imagine being left alone with that hellish mutt over there must be a fate worser than death.''

Vuldred turned to Ghost, seeing her finally appear.

''You are late. And you know my master hates waiting.'' he said.

Tali chuckled softly, "Oh of course. Besides, you can't go around leaving your kitty girlfriend behind now, can you? She'd be heartbroken."

Xandra drew her ears back against her skull, ignoring Eon's statement.

"Yes, this one knows the dread lord very well." Replied Ghost, flicking her white tail, "I have made haste to meet you hear. But I have bad news to deliver.."

''What is it with you and your crazy shippings all the time...'' complained Eon.

''And just so you know, last night I br-'' Eon's words were cut shurt by the pain he was exposed to. The burning sensation now spread over to his upper leg, giving him the feeling as if his whole leg was on fire.

''It better not be too bad, Kitty-girl. Unless you want to join my undead minions. But go on...'' replied Vuldred to Ghost.
