The beast let out a pained caterwaul that echoed through out the valley. Tali was sure Eon had injured it with an equally painful and life threatening wound. With this in mind she flanked the chimera on the left and jumped on it's back. Both sets of her claws sunk into the throat of the dragon head, ripping it's neck cavity open, leaving it sputtering for oxygen midst choking upon it's own blood in the process.

The monster now losed it's second head, it had no longer able the ability to breathe fire. With the chimera being distracted by Tali, Eon and Balius tried to wound the chimera as much as they could. However, they were caught off guard by the serpent tail, and it bit Eon in his leg, sinking it's venomous fangs deep within his flesh. Balius reacted just in time to slash the serpent head off as it chomped onto Eon, but he screamed in pain as the burning sensation of the venom could be felt entering his veins. Balius himself was knocked aside, sending him crashing into a pile of bones.

''Curse this damned thing forever!'' muttered Eon.

Tali had been promptly thrown off of it's back as it started towards Eon and Balius. The combat with it didn't last particularly long before Eon screamed out in pain as the chimera's fangs penetrated his flesh, poisoning him with venom. Seeing that her two companions were faltering in their steps, she rushed to their defense and threw herself against the chimera, biting harshly into nape and fur. Dagger-ed claws ripped through the monsters flesh, rendering it's shoulders a bloody mess.

Enraged, the chimera shook Tali of, proceeding to maul her. Balius meanwhile regained conscious, rushed to Tali's aid and delivered a critical strike to the monster, just as Eon used his last strength to stab the monster in it's heart. The abominous animal eventually succumbed to it's injuries, and collapsed.

''Just die already, will you.'' muttered Eon in frustration as he and Balius wounded it several more times to make sure it was really dead.

''Usually chimeras are no match for me, this one must've been a chimera king.'' said Balius.

Tali felt the sharp teeth of the lion-like chimera rip into her skin, lacerating it open and spilling blood upon the earth. She cried out in pain, teeth clenching and claws digging into the dirt. Before it could do any more damage to her body, Eon and Balius came to her rescue and slaughtered the chimera where it stood.

''Usually chimeras are no match for me, this one must've been a chimera king.''

Turning back into a human, she held her profusely bleeding side and went to join Balius and Eon next to the corpse, "Is that bastard truly dead?"

''He's a dead motherf#cker.'' replied Balius as he checked the chimera.

Eon saw the world spinning around him, as the venom in his veins began doing its job. Slowly but surely his vision became blurry.

''Agh, damn it I can't die here...'' muttered Eon quietly to himself.

''Agh, damn it I can't die here...''

Tali cringed in pain as she went over to examine Eon. She knelt besides him and held his side, inspecting the puncture wound. Spotting two deep puncture wounds, she slightly gasped and worry fell upon her face, "Sh!t, I think the poison is starting to take effect. Balius, you don't happen to know how to treat this?"

Meanwhile, Xandra approached the group with her tail in between her legs, still shaken after the previous battle.

''Nope, only elves have an antidote against chimera venom though. But worry about him later, we're gonna have to get out of this chimera den and find a safe haven before other chimeras show up.'' replied Balius as he looked around.

Balius then noticed Xandra, who showed a scared facial expression with widened eyes. He couldn't help but chuckle because it looked funny.

''The poor doggy looks like she saw a ghost.''

''Nope, only elves have an antidote against chimera venom though. But worry about him later, we're gonna have to get out of this chimera den and find a safe haven before other chimeras show up.''

Grumbling agitatedly to herself, Tali said, "God's blood, you mean to say we have to travel all the way back to the wood elves for an antidote in order to save Eon's life?!"

Xandra joined up with them and sniffed at Eon's wound, backing away as she felt the sting of acid hitting her nostrils. Shifting quickly, the shaken girl ignored Balius remark and exchanged a look between her companions, "I take it we can't just leave him behind for the chimera to pick at, right? Truth be told, he'll just weigh us down."

''Well isn't that obvious. Do I look like a medic or something, Miss Werewolfy? However, I do know a shortcut though.'' replied Balius to Tali.

Eon, still conscious, clenched his fists at hearing Xandra's words.

''What?! I regret not feeding you to those wyrms in order to save our own lives, you useless pest!'' he said enraged, before groaning in pain again because of the venom's burning sensation.
