Okay, did I miss something? Because I'm only a few short chapters away from finishing the book, and nothing surprising has happened with her. Something tells me my friend was referring to how she joined the pirates. If that's the case, then I wasn't surprised because I expected something much worse.

I want to text her and ask, but 1) she's probably really busy and 2) I'm really short on texts, and I need to save them. I'll just wait until we talk sometime this week and ask her. If the whole pirate thing was the "surprise", then she'll probably be upset that I wasn't as shocked as her about it. Sure, I was a little surprised, but I wasn't texting her, asking her why it happened. And I figured she had a good reason for it anyways, so I wasn't too bothered by it.

What a strange night we've had... and that kid wanting to keep playing Halo, trying to finish the campaign before bed though we were only halfway through and it's going on 4am... drifted right off when I sent him to bed too. Once I've relaxed a bit, I'll be getting to bed meself.

Too bad it was already 1:30 a.m. when I finished the book. 
I'll just have to wait until I wake up in X hours to tell her. I'll try not to get into any sort of conversation with her, because then I would be in really big trouble. Yeah, these next fifteen days are going to suck. 
I need to make sure to be more careful with my texts when my plan renews.
