^ When I mentioned him being a jerk IRL, I hear the person behind the character is one, not just the character. And whether it's a character or not, being an ass for ships and giggles is just not funny. Neither is talking crap about movies for flaws that don't exist.

Guess it depends on perspective. Jerks can be the funniest characters. Rick from Rick and Morty, Zim from Invader Zim, the entire cast of Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Great and Powerful Trixie, etc.

But I've never heard about the rumor that Doug's a jerk IRL from anywhere but here. Of course I've never met him personally, but I have a real hard time believing that he's a jerk in real life.

If you want to see examples of how he's more than just a jerk, watch the ending fourth of his "The Worst Christmas Special Ever" video.

(Also, if anyone is MAD at him for his TLK criticisms specifically, which I also disagree with. #1. He's free to his opinion. #2. He still said he likes the movie overall...)

I honestly think it's quite useless to have this "debate" of "Nostalgia Critic Vs CinemaSins" because fans of the respective channels/persons will prefer and, probably, defend them. In the end, it stops being a debate and more a "personal preference" thing. Each person has their opinion, I don't think any of them should be "invalid" just because they're different. You can be a fan and still evaluate something in a neutral way, which is starting to drift away here (IMO). But that's just how I see this...

I hate doug walker with a burning passion. He isn't funny, he's a big jerk esp if the rumors about what he did to marzgurl are true, the way channel awesome handled spoony after he did what he did was disgraceful.... Etc.

The only internet critics I like are jay, rich and mike from redlettermedia. Those guys are almost professional, give good criticism, like all kinds of movies (though I wish they would review animation) and are hilarious.

Honest trailers is a mixed bag. They're mosty funny, most of the time they are good with fact checking but they do get some things wrong from time to time (though sometimes they get things wrong for the sake of comedy). They aren't reviewers though.

I take that back, there is another I like. I love the cinemasnob because he's insightful, funny, and ironically very down to earth.
