what do you want to see or expect to see out of his character in TLG? do you think he'll continue to be a very minor side character, or will he perhaps get some more screen time? maybe play a prominent role in an episode or two?
I think it only makes sense that he'll become at least a little more prominent. I assume that working with the Guard in some capacity must be part of his job. still, I'm guessing he'll probably remain off to the side most of the time, only coming to the forefront on occasion.
my biggest wish for his character is a closer look at his relationship with Simba (and the rest of the royal family, I suppose). in the original TLK, the opening scene in Scar's lair does a great job illustrating the friendly, close relationship btwn Mufasa and Zazu. same with the pouncing scene.
however, interactions like that btwn Zazu and King Simba have been pretty much nonexistent. his lines are few in SP, and when he does speak, it's usually on fairly serious matters that illustrate how important Zazu's job is to him, as well as his loyalty to the Pridelanders. but very little insight is given on how well he actually gets along with Simba on a friendship level. so I'd really like to see more friendly banter between the two of them. or maybe they don't even get along very well in that way. that'd be neat to see elaborated upon, too.
I like his character in the first TLK a lot, and it's disappointing to see so little personality out of him in SP (and his current one line in TLG, lol)
