The disdain I see for Simba's Pride saddens me. Not so much here, but on places like Facebook and YouTube. I wouldn't mind if it was one or two comments, but I come across a lot of them. It's disheartening to know that the general public holds such a low opinion of it. And I don't mean low as in "it doesn't live up to the original" I mean low as in saying stuff like "You think TLG ruined the franchise? Where were you when SP came out?" and "TLK 1 1/2 is the only good Disney sequel. SP was awful." I wonder if they've even given it a chance, or if they saw it in 98, were off-put by the lower quality of its animation, and never watched it again.
The funny thing is, SP was a bit of a big thing in the late 90s, with "He Lives In You" getting covered by Tina Turner and Diana Ross.
