I just don't see a purpose for them to appear on that certain episode.

Also I really adore Beshte and Ono. Beshte is really cute, even though real hippos are pretty gross. Honey badgers can stink, but I guess it's too much to show kids that real hippos are literally swimming in their own feces Dx Lion guard hippos are cute and clean xD
The female hippos from ROTR also reappear. I hope they will get some role in the future. Beshte has some girls crushing on him, I see a potential for a funny episode xD Beshte's dad is pretty cool too.

I was thinking that too. However accurate it may be, I just don't see a way to include it without it seeming inappropriate. At least their cleanliness is justified with the fish (I know the fish thing happens in real life too, but still) and the fact that TLK lions are more human, so TLK hippos probably are too.

I downloaded it, and here's the link to my OneDrive:

I think it's quite interesting. So many animals here, and that's great since we can see other new characters. Like the snake, which seems to appear in ROTR. And it's pretty challenging for Disney to put some songs in one episode, IMO.

Yeah, the song was... Not really awful, but probably the weakest song the Lion King franchise has had. I'll put it on my iPod and grow to love it all the same, but still. Guess they can't all be winners.

I've seen it! I wow'd on so many levels! the info about the wildlife, the african words, the many species and the animation.. Love the characters and how they are designed. Even though I despise fart jokes, the song was kind of cute. Only minus is that Bunga is so obnoxious, man oh man. thanks mikuna matata for making my watching of the episode possible!

I really enjoined the episode. So far The Lion Guard is exactly what I had hoped it would be. The lessons they are trying to teach the kids are woven into the story. The show is not in your face with what is trying to teach. It is obvious (as has been previously stated) that Beshte has some Hippo-Girls crushing on him. So romance is not off the table for this show either. 8-) I am more than slightly annoyed that Mufasa has a new voice actor, but I can just tell myself that the connection between The Pride Lands and Heaven is on the fritz so that is why Mufasa did not sound right. :eyeroll:
