On my own this Christmas day, because my sister is going to my parents. To be honest, I'm quite ok with it, the previous two years I've spent a few hours for lunch with my sister, but was always keen to get home. I spent Christmas 2012 on my own and only got a bit upset when I had to go to work in the evening and surrounded by people celebrating. This year I finish work at 7am, can come home and sleep for the morning and the just enjoy Christmas TV the rest of the day.

Only downside is that I was hoping to persuade my sister to pick me up from work at 7am on Christmas morning. Might walk home rather than pay for an expensive taxi.

What's even going on with that? Seen you bring this up a few times, sounds ridiculous.

Payroll sent my check to my old address, a place I haven't lived at for two months, at my fault of my own. I gave them my current address on countless occasions. I'm not even sure why they had my old address on file.

For this being their own mistake, my boss and I both agreed that I deserve a new, expedited check because I need the money ASAP for rent, gas, and other necessities really badly. They, of course, are doing jack sh** about it, and are taking as long as possible to fix the problem by blaming me and throwing me through hoops.

As long as the check comes by Dec. 3, I should be okay since the rent is due by then, but this whole ordeal has changed my good plans for Thanksgiving and the next week by a long shot...

Oh freaking typical, I'm sorry you have to go through that crap. What kind of job is it?

Cheers hun, but I wouldn't intrude on anyone's Christmas Day. Seeing my parents a few days before and then in the new year. Quite looking forward to a quiet Christmas day watching what i want on TV.
