Lol yes it was just out of the blue.

I don't know about Zuri, we will have to see what she likes but she same like a girly girl if you know what I mean where Kion is slightly more adventurous. What do you think about the possibility of new lions besides Zuri etc. I think that he is more likely to fall for Tiffu due to her caring personality etc. :D I read a review on some guy who got early access. He said there wasn't much appeal for adults which is dissapointing, to be honest. If you look around at like conventions and things. The majority of people there are adults, I really think that the producers could take a page out of this websites book and fan fictions etc.

On a side not. What do you think of the chance they will kill off Simba just like Mufusa D:. That scares me a lot. But as I learn more about TLG I like it more. :)

If they do, I'm sure TLG and Disney will definitely doom.

They nearly killed off Simba in SP. :P

Good thing they didn't.

1: As you said, he is too iconic to die, and
2: It would make SP even more too much like TLK 1.

As for TLG, especially since it is aimed at six year olds: don't expect any character, no matter how important or unimportant, nor how good or bad they are, to actually be killed off. At most, if they will have to resort to that, it will be a very distant off-screen death, but I highly doubt that the subject will come up all that often in TLG. After all, death is a concept that even adults struggle with, and I see Disney as thinking six year olds as too young to be exposed to it in any form.

I cannot see Disney doing that since it would be out of place for a pre-school television series. Like DGFone said, there is a trivia statement online that Simba was originally to die at the hands (or paws) of the Outsiders, which I am very curious about it and will never know for sure unless an early script (or storyboards) leaks out onto the Internet. However, if there is a chance of that happening, I imagine us fans reacting negatively on social media similar to Brian's death in the Family Guy episode "Life of Brian" where a fan started a Change.org petition to have it repealed.

I did have a few ideas for a pg rated theatrical 'tlg' back when I thought that it would be post tlk2.

Basically, it involved a number of things that are now showing to be true in this show (simba worried about kion being a leader of the guard, simba not approving of non-lions in the guard, the hyenas starting to hunt and kill for sport.)

It would be about a group of returning hyenas, lead by the descendants of the original trio. They are not retreads of their old personalities. They believe that the pridelands are rightfully theres so they start killing as many animals as they can to intimidate simba.

In the middle to of the movie, they do a sneak attack while kion and his group is away. The prideland lions survive but just barely. Kovu and simba are barely able to walk and nala was almost killed. Also kovu and kiaras two cubs, who are introduced in the beggining of the film and seen a few times... I would plan on having them be some of the most loveable disney characters ever just to make what happens to them even more heartbreaking.... They're cubnapped by the hyenas and taken to the elephant graveyard. The only lioness who is in a good enough condition is vitani.

Kion and his group return. Without simbas approval they go to the elephant graveyard. Vitani is asked to stay to take care of the others in case the guard doesn't make it back.

Now in my version of the lion guard there are no super powers, no silly marks on their bodies. These are normal african animals. Kion would have mufasas traits and would be stronger than a normal lion cub on average but not super strength.

In a scene where we see the surviving hyenas talking, the little cubs try to escape. Knowing that someone will come to rescue them, from the shadows we see them being grabbed by the necks, having those necks snapped and having their dead bodies thrown atop a pile of bones. I do think this might be a bit too dark even for a pg rated movie. However I think this scene is necessary because I want a tearjerker that is not a complete retread of the mufasa death scene and boundry pushing for disney. Nobody expects two of the cutest lion cubs in the pride to be killed in a rather violent way.

The guard is able to fight off the hyenas well enough for them to surrender. While the guard is comprised of mostly young animals the hyenas were weakened by the previous fight to make the guard win plausible.

This starts the third act, because it's a disney movie it can't end on a downer ending nor does every movie need to end with a big action scene. It would be about the guard watching over the pride while it recovers. In this act we see kion and his guard out, patrolling the area as most of the lionesses have recovered enough to protect simba and kovu.

They see a lost little hyena cub, kion in his anger almost kills it but stops before attacking it, realizing that what he would be doing wouldn't bring back kovu and kiaras cubs. So the guard brings the lil hyena to the other hyenas in what I would hope to be the most emotional scene in any disney movie. They leave without a fight.

The movie ends with a very christopher nolan/hans zimmer-ish scene in which kion talks to the pride about how they will work to defend the pride while it recovers, juxtaposed with scenes from the near future and possible threats from the tv series (which i would change from disney jr to disney xd.

So yeah this is never happening

That's really good actually I don't think the ending with Kion would last an entire act that sounds more like the last fifteen or ten minutes in truth it kind of reminds me of the end of The Dark Knight, the big climax happens with the hyenas then the actual climax is deep and personal character scene before wrapping up fairly quickly not that every lion king movie doesn't wrap up quickly anyway.

Killing the cubs is bold but it would make the movie automatically PG 13, no way a PG movie gets away with murdering two children. Also just a question why exactly do you kill the cubs just asking because those deaths would probably raise a lot of controversy if they were just for shock and emotion. Not dissing you I actually think that is a good story but the death of the cubs would have to serve a very important purpose to the story and character arcs or no way audience and especially critics would accept it. Beyond that good job you should write that and post it in the fanfiction forum I would definitely be interested in reading it.

Killing the two would be important for when kion sees the lost little hyena cub. He would struggle with killing it out of revenge and becoming a murderer or proving to himself he can protect the pridelands without sinking to the lows of those that would harm it.

That is who I'm hoping Kion falls for, I think they would be a good match.

@ Elton John: I very much like your story idea, but I have the same misgivings that Hatari05 had with the cubs. It seems like a Fan Fiction worth writing.
