Are you kidding? Series nine has been fantastic thus far. I like this one much more than series five through eight.

That's strange. I just really don't like the new writing to be honest, the whole "herp derp The Doctor is dying" plot has been done to death the past three-four seasons and it feels like it tries far too hard to be epic and it just falls short each time. I honestly prefer the filler eps more at this point, are the fillers in this season any good?

(Okay, to be entirely fair I did like season 8 far more than 7 and I've loved Missy and the 12th Doctor so far. It's just the same damn epic plotlines with slight variations over and over again that have made me tired and not really excited to watch new eps anymore. I just want some more casual adventures again dammit.)

Yeah, I understand that. I wish they would stop with the Doctor is dying plots, too.

Now, that said, the series 9 premiere is my favorite of all the Moffat-era premieres. If you can get past the first half of it, it's really good and it all makes sense in the end. What I was really missing were the two-parters and episodes that don't feel incomplete at the end. Series 9 delivers in that respect. All the episodes that I've seen (1-8) are two parters, and they haven't left me wondering what the hell happened at the end.
