No, I didn't read the book yet because I am waiting for the movie to come out first. :P

And I know that I am not the only person doing that.

Looks like stone to me, as also I noticed that the paintings are smooth like they will be on stone, not as rough looking as might be on the inside of tree bark, I've painted irl on different surfaces, believe me, bark and stone react very differently, to paint, infact the painting would be a bit more faded, as bark being porous would absorb the paint more readily as it would fade the paint, stone however would not absorb the paint as readilly, depends though, clay like stone will absorb it easily, granite stone, like the inside of a mountain cave, will not, as granite is I believe what called non ferrous stone, its kinda a tricky thing?! Various stones will have various results! :kiarakopa: :innocent: .

you know what I just noticed? Mufasa nose is PINK! not brown like it should be? now why did they screw that up?

I'm in the same boat actually. Just ordered the book today after finding out about it the other day cause I love the beautiful art that Disney creates. That and I'm curious what the book says about the movie. :P
