Okay. I am pissed. They recently released the original 'land before time' on blu ray, i recieved my copy in the mail late yesterday and started watching it recently.

The picture quality is.... Awful. Considering that they advertised it as a 'remaster' it looking grainy to a point of distraction is unacceptable. There are no extras at all.

This was a childhood favorite of mine. Considering that I just bought aladdin and hercules on blu ray with them not only looking jaw droppingly gorgeous on the format and they both have an acceptable number of extras, this was just a waste of money. I won't be buying any other universal/don bluth animated films on the format.

Sorry for the rant. I just think that one of the best animated films ever made deserves better.

Don Bluth movies always get the worst treatment. Don't know why one of the greatest animators of all time gets f***ed on every blu ray release.

As far as I'm aware, every Don Bluth film on blu ray has piss poor quality.

I'm just glad disney gave tlk on blu ray the royal treatment.

I had owned the movie in digital hd for a few years and it already looked gorgeous. I was given the blu ray last year from a friend as a trade (He got my mass effect trilogy for the ps3 and I got tlk on blu). The visual quality of tlk on blu was even better than gorgeous. Sound quality was better as well.

...and then the mass effect trilogy went on sale for 13 bucks on psn so I didn't lose much.
