Omg Tiifu is my new life!!!!! The music in that trailer too! So amazing! But the date is bad! That weekend I'm going to my grandmas for thanksgiving and I wanted to watch it with my friends (who are exited too and also agree that Tiifu=life) I'm so upset so I asked my mum and da if we can go to my grams on Monday instead my friend want to watch it too when I told them there was a new video they were exited and watch it but one was like "agh where's Kovu??" I have pretty much dumped the lion king 2 out of my memory and replaced it with the lion guard instead! But Kovu and the outlanders of course still exist

I'm a little disappointed in the Kiara cub thing, but I'll still enjoy it! I hope they work at least Kovu into it (Vitani would be awesome, too). I think I may make a fan comic with it actually taking place after SP, where Kiara is an adult and it'll have Kovu and Vitani. I think Nala and Kiara will be pregnant together, and it'll be really really cute. (Tiifu will have to be in it, omg, what a precious cat child.)

Now you cant just Dump TLK 2 for TLG TLK2 is still physically really and its still a Disney legacy to the lot of us and has been since 1998....I think, correct me if I got that date wrong, point is there still has to be a way to stitch up the gap between TLG and TLK2. and im sure with the TLK wiki page they will.

Either they'll use TLG to eradicate SP's plot holes, they'll retcon SP, or they'll not acknowledge it one way or the other and leave it up to us to figure out how the two are connected. Many older fans didn't like SP much and most of the young kids won't have seen it, so Disney may just decide to pretend it doesn't exist... or they may try to tie TLG in with the film's canonity somehow. They can dump TLK 2 if they want... they have the power to say what is and isn't canon. I'm sorry for you if you don't like it, but there's nothing fans can do about it one way or the other. What's best for you to do is not let it get you upset either way.

Of course they can dump it. I mean, there are plenty of other fandoms that have multiple movie things, right??? I mean, like a lot of superhero movies have to put up with movies and stuff that don't necessarily fit cannon, now it's Lion King's turn.
it would definitely be lovely if it filled some plot holes, but even if it doesn't, like, we can still enjoy it as it it. It could be really cute seeing how Kion deals with a sister that is going to be royalty and see how he handles it differently than Scar did.
But yeah, I definitely want to explore what it would have been like if it did take place after SP (hence my fan comic), but I'm going to try to keep an open mind. I want to like it.

Comic book fans are used to the companies ignoring established canon or rebooting the whole thing.

I think that disney should create a branch at marvel just for comic series based on their animated properties. For a new tlk comic it go from a few years before tlk 1 to post tlg. It wouldn't be completely canon to the animated stuff, they would add in details to fill in holes here and there.
