Hope I don't have the same problem with the computer system tonight.

I hate how my "friend" keeps bragging on how she "has an American friend and I don't". It honestly makes me feel like no one outside this country actually wants to befriend me.

My grandad is going home for the whole weekend. Hopefully a couple of nights in his own bed will do him good.

Does this friend of yours not count people you met online? I thought you and Queen Elsa were fairly good friends, and she's American. We haven't talked a lot, but I'd consider you a friend, I'm American too. I don't see why people outside your country wouldn’t want to befriend you.

Agreed with the above. We have people from all over on this forum. :)

Plus, to be honest, being American isn't that big of a deal. I tend to feel like most of my online friends live in cooler places than I do.

^Thank you, all three of you! :hug2:

Yeah, she kind of doesn't count online people, so, when I quoted what she said, she was referring to people I know personally or talk, like, 24/7 (Kind of BFFs). I consider everyone here to be my friend, of course, but, the way she kept bragging seemed like she was trying to say "You can't befriend foreigners irl" and that got me quite depressed. When she brought up her "American friend" today, I actually say that I had "the folks of MLK".

She values the whole "being American" thing, because she can new things that we don't have here through the mail. For me, that's not really friendship.

Sorry for the "depressed" post before and this "vent post" now, I know they can be annoying. Thanks for reading, though.

As someone who just got over a bad friendship, I know the feels :P

Also, it's interesting that she appreciates Americans. I appreciate my European friends as well. It's cool to talk to people from around the world :)

Also, I count online friends as friends. So tell her she's wrong  :x :P
