The Pride Lands (Zeke, NM, kovu42, morri908)

Mila was lagging a bit behind Zeke, trying to scout the area for any potential danger. When Bakari and Zeke hid in a bush, she went to do the same, but before she could get inside, she felt a paw go over her mouth. Suddenly she was pinned on the floor, and could feel multiple bodies on her. She tried to scream, but it was only muffled sound, that might have been heard by Zeke or Bakari. She was picked up and the things under her began to walk, and Mila could do nothing besides scream sound that was extremely muffled, and kick at the things that captured her. It was no use.

Bakari slowed down and signaled for Zeke to stop. He suddenly realized that only Zeke was with him. "Wait, what happened to Mila?" he whispered to Zeke as he looked around desperately. He risked popping out of his cover and he was instantly overtaken by the horrid scent of hyena and before he knew it there were five of the mangy dogs clawing and biting at him. He managed a large paw swipe at one but more teeth sunk into his shoulder. He reared up on his hind legs to try and throw off the attacker but another hyena bit into his leg and yet another rammed into his exposed belly knocking the breath out of him as he fell onto the ground on his back. They wasted no time in pinning him down and nipping at his belly and face, making him roar in pain.

"Bakari!" Zeke yelled and ran and pounced full speed at the group of hyenas clawing at Bakari. Zeke managed to take two to the ground with him and saw that a large group was starting to close in on him. He quickly rolled to his feet and attempted to get the remaining hyenas off Bakari

Bakari felt a wave of adrenaline as the weight was slowly lifted off of him and he was able to worm out from under the hyena's grasp and deliver a powerful blow with his hind legs straight into a hyena's chest. Another hyena tried to side swipe him but he dodged out of range and pounced the hyena, pinning it down and delivering a lethal bite.

[Zeke]

Zeke was now on his feet, swiping away the hyenas. He hit one directly in the face with his paw, knocking it the ground. Zeke was about to lunge foreward to deliver a hard blow to another hyena when he felt teeth sink into his hind legs and hit the ground, being dragged through the grass by two hyenas. Trying to grasp the earth with his claws, Zeke roared and struggled to break free.

Bakari turned on the two hyenas who were dragging Zeke and forced them off of him with his claws. He heard more pawsteps in the distance and he guessed the hyenas might be getting more reinforcements. He threw off another hyena in mid leap and raked his claws across another dog's face. "Zeke, get out of here!" he yelled behind him. "I can hold them off! Just trust me!" he yelled again before tackling another hyena full force.

Zeke took one final pounce and made contact with a hyena, crushing its chest with its paw when it hit the ground. From the hyena's chest, Zeke took off. He had no intention of leaving the fight, he was in search of Mila. "Mila!" He yelled, while trying to avoid the hyenas. She was no where in sight

Bakari saw only three hyenas left and he moved quickly, ramming one into the ground and immediately spinning and smacking another across the ground a good couple of feet. He turned on the last hyena who tried to dodge around him but he caught the dog's tail and bit into it's lower back before letting it flee. Suddenly he was jarred by another hyena who slammed into his back and began biting deep. He landed awkwardly and injured his paw further, roaring in pain. The hyena let it's guard down and Bakari rolled over, smashing the hyena with his weight before turning on it and clawing it's throat. He survayed the battle scene, seeing all of his foes vanquished he let out another roar of defiance pride and strength. He then remembered he had to find Zeke and hopefully Mila and he thundered through the brush ignoring the pain in his paw.

[Zeke]

"Mila! Mila!," Zeke was frantic in his search for Mila. He couldnt find her. He stopped for a second and waited for sound. Bakari came running up behind him. "Bakari, have you seen Mila? I dont know where she is."

Bakari slowed to a stop beside Zeke, panting heavily. He looked around for any signs of Mila, "No, I haven't seen her," he replied, sniffing the ground carefully. "I can't pick up any sort of scent trail either." Frustration began to bubble up within him.
