I mean magic has always been in TLK but its always been natural magic and people don't always think of it as such. I wonder who the Elders are though. Maybe the great kings? Will we finally get a taste of Pride Land religious practices? That's what in most excited for tbh is to see everyday life in the Pride Lands.

I still wish they'd gone with the paw print though.

As someone going into this with low expectations (simply because I didn't want to get my hopes up to find that it was a lion king reskin of Dora), I was pleasantly surprised. Though the animation style and some of the dialogue seems more childlike (as expected) than the normal material, I think they got they got down the TLK style. The music, characters, and environment were all very reminiscent of The Lion King 1. I honestly am really excited to see how the pre-series movie that comes out this year.

Since yesterday, I noticed Sarah Hyland was listed as a cast member in the press releases, but it did not confirm which character she was voicing. Just today, she confirmed on Twitter that she is voicing a new character named Tiifu.

I think most people have expressed it better than me (not surprising, I have a hard time expressing my feelings), but I am so stoked for this! I think this is pretty much exactly what I expected.

The ending was... Interesting? Even though I'm not really big on MLP anymore, it... Did remind me of it. Not sure why it reminded me of the last panel of this comic though.

I'm not thrilled about Nala having a new voice actor, but I'd like to her how she does before I say anything negative. In truth I'm sure Disney would not have cast her if her voice did not suit Nala.
