I'm kinda confused about this too. xD I thought most people get the Pell grant...? Doesn't mean my education is anywhere close to cheap. lol Luckily I got other scholarships and sources of funding so it'll be almost free but if I was a normal, 18 year-old out-of-state student with no grants/loans/scholarships it'd cost me $50,000 a year to go to school. ._______. Pell doesn't cover anywhere close to that, the max you can get is only like $6k.
I think the only reason Julie can cover a lot of hers with just Pell is because she lives at home and is commuting so she's not living/eating there. And even then she still has debt. xP

I'm not paying more for "the same education," I'm paying for a better education than community colleges at the nearest and cheapest real university. If I went anywhere else I'd get a lesser education or pay more money.
