Watch Dragon Ball then Dragon Ball Z, skip GT, watch Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods, watch Dragon Ball Z Resurection F, and then watch Dragon Ball Super.

GT is well meh, and arguably uncanon. It is good by itself, but will never live up to Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. It's more of an alternate universe these days.
