thats possible. I just cant see him being completely gone. He was such a huge part of the movie. You cant have Kiara and no Kovu at alllll

Kiara herself is probably going to be a background character. I suspect she will have the occasional speaking role, some family lesson or something, but Kovu will probably mostly remain silent in the background. We'll probably see him here and there, but I doubt he'll contribute very much.

I'm with SimbasGuard on this. I would be okay if they even minimized Kovu's role to a visual cameo/acknowledge him with mention by one of the characters, but I wonder about something:

If they do decide to bring Kovu into the show within the middle of the first season or the beginning of the second season, what would be the reason behind his absence, especially away from Kiara who is his mate?

Like Julie Skywalker said Kiara will likely be a background character. I imagine Kovu will also be a background character, so it won't be a case of him having gone anywhere we just won't see him that often.

....I thought this show took place when Kiara was little and Kion is her older brother? Wouldn't she have not met him yet? Ugh this show really does f everything up. *facepalm*

^ No they have said that Kiara is Kion's older sister and that she's the heir. They haven't changed the continuity of the series. This comes after SP.
