I wonder what's on those charts she made us. I am really not looking forward to going to her house anymore. I wish I could skip it all. But at least I only have a month and a half before school starts when I can finally get away.

My grandad is now refusing to eat, drink or take his meds in hospital now. He just wants to die. Mum told me this morning that he'll never be able to come home. Don't think i'll ever see him again.

Thanks guys. It's just a bit sad to see him go downhill so suddenly. Last summer he was still pottering about in my parents' garden and making stuff in his shed. He was ill at the beginning of the year and we think that triggered this depression / dementia. It feels like we've already lost him, because the man I've known all my life is gone. I feel sad for my Nan because she's losing her husband (it was their 60th wedding aniversary last Thursday) and for my Dad, because he's losing his father.

My sister and I have both decided not to try and visit him (they live 250 miles away in Wales anyway) and our parents agree that it's best that we and our cousins remember how how he was, not as he is now. My Nan and parents vsit him every day and it's hard enough for them.

I've lost my grandparents although not in the same way as you are describing but if you want to talk about it, or even anything else for that matter, I'm always around on Facebook and stuff and here sometimes.
