Private w/ Adofo

Although Chaltuu had always been a rather nocturnal creature, she did have to admit she didn't fancy the idea of continuing her trek to wherever Adofo was heading, and her own excursion to find Dhakiya's murderer and claim her revenge, not with a broken leg at least. Very grudgingly, she gave a short, curt inclination of her head as a sign of agreement. Continuing to walk along, she noticed some tightly-knit brush. While it didn't look extraordinarily comfortable to sleep in, it would give at least decent shelter, and with her own thick fur, it wouldn't scratch her up too severely- maybe it would poke her a little, but nothing she couldn't handle. With Adofo she didn't know, but he had that peculiar thing he pulled part of over his head when it rained, so perhaps that would provide decent protection. If it didn't... that wasn't Chaltuu's problem.

[Adofo]

Adofo laid on top of a bush and pulled his hood down over his eyes to help sleep. He was really hoping the others weren't going insane trying to find him. He knows that out of all of them, Simba would be the one that wouldn't stop for a second and just keep looking until Adofo was found. All the more reason to try to get home as quick as possible

[Wait, he laid on top of a bush? xD The point was to be under the bush.]

Curling under a bush with her injured leg splayed out a little from her, Chaltuu lay her head on her paws with a disgruntled huff. Her ears flicked as she craned her head around just a bit to pick up any sounds. Other than a few birds chirping and squawking distantly and a couple of crickets chirping, she heard nothing. Scanning the area with her bright green eyes, she didn't see anything that looked remotely suspicious. All she saw were some insects and a colony of ants carrying away minute chunks of some kind of food, mostly concealed by the dense foliage. The shrubbery hid what seemed to be a medium-sized bird's nest- or at least, it smelled like it. She was tempted to lunge for it and get something to eat- perhaps a cluster of bird eggs, or bird chicks, no matter how young they were. It was a tough world- Chaltuu knew that all too well. Despite a brief argument with herself about it, as best as she could manage, she lunged towards the nest. There were four moderately small eggs in it. She looked around, wondering where the parents were. Odd... Usually when a pair of birds had a nest of eggs, even if one of them was out searching for food, one of them was almost always protecting the nest. But that wasn't her concern. As swiftly as she could, she snatched up the eggs in her jaws and heard a very faint crack of one of them, though she didn't taste anything in her mouth other than the tough shell of the egg yet. Settling down in her previous spot, she quickly ate the four eggs, feeling her hunger satisfied a bit more. Shujaa probably wouldn't approve- but Shujaa wasn't here anymore.

(He's weird)

The next morning, Adofo awoke and he heard something in the distance. And he could smell them. A small group of lions were somewhere close. He was hoping they hadn't picked up on his and Chaltuu's scent. So he quickly hid in the bush, not wanting to fight unless he had too.

[Iri]

The reddish-brown female stirred as well- she had never been much of a heavy sleeper. But as she sniffed the air, the scent was just so familiar... As she inhaled a few times, trying to remember who it was. Her eyes widened a little bit as, multiple metres away, she saw a lanky, tawny lioness prowling along with a rather short greyish-brown cub trailing after her, and what appeared to be a pure white infant perched on her head. "Oh, dear stars... Kapuki!?" she exclaimed, lifting her head to get a better look at the three. "Shujaa? Ua?" As she crept closer, she saw that it was, in fact, her three estranged siblings. While she felt a small amount of joy seeing them again, she was flooded with feelings of suspicion and even slight anger. What were they doing here? How coincidental that they run into each other again, especially after such a long stretch of time after their departure from one another...

[Adofo]

Adofo crawled out from the brush and followed Chaltuu.
Adofo: Chaltuu? You know them?

[Iri]

"Yeah, I know them." With a growl, Chaltuu concealed her injured limb as best as she could. She didn't want her sisters thinking she had gotten herself foolishly stuck in a mess- granted, she had, but she didn't want her siblings to be aware of that. She glared at Kapuki, and the young, lithe tawny lioness held her gaze defiantly with her own. The look in the smaller female's lavender eyes was not as intensely angry as Chaltuu's, but it was stubborn and cold nonetheless... Such a familiar look, it was. Chaltuu had seen it multiple times over, from her father, from the others in her pride, and sometimes even from her mother, and of course from Kapuki during their short amount of time spent traveling together- the sisterly bond that could have been, but was never meant to be. Not releasing the dislike from her sharp stare, she gave a terse, irritated inclination of her head in acknowledgement of the other feline and the two children trailing behind her. Shujaa had hidden behind Kapuki's hind leg, and Ua had seemingly slid down from her little perch upon the older cub's head and nestled herself between her sister's shoulder blades.

Even if Chaltuu couldn't let go of her bitterness and resentment towards Kapuki and even Shujaa and Ua despite having little to no reason to, she still couldn't help but feel a diminutive, practically unnoticeable pang of longing to perhaps travel with them again, maybe even salvage the bits and pieces of her relationship with her sisters. However, she wasn't naive or gullible like innocent Shujaa was- she knew that would never happen. What could have potentially been even a remote bond between her and the other three had faltered and crumbled every time Chaltuu would criticize Kapuki and Shujaa's hunting skills, or every time she finally pushed Kapuki's patience and the adolescent female lost her temper at her elder sibling.

Deep down, Chaltuu was aware their separation was, in fact, her fault. After all, had it not been she whose tolerance boiled over more frequently than Kapuki's? Had it not been she who, despite the fact that Chaltuu herself did most of the hunting due to her long time to improve and practice her tactics, had criticized Shujaa's rather mediocre hunting skills? Even though Chaltuu did know she was mostly to blame for their departure, she would never, ever admit it...

[Hehe, that was fun to type. xD]

Adofo: Who are they?
He wondered how she knew them. Although he actually did see a small resemblance between Chaltuu and two of the lionesses. But not enough for him to think that they might actually be related.

[Iri]

Letting out a heavy sigh which sounded more like an impatient huff, Chaltuu responded, "They're my sisters. Half-sisters, actually, but nevertheless, we're sisters." Even despite knowing the fact that she had a different father than them- but was raised by the same one- she sometimes wondered why she only remotely resembled one of them, and that was Kapuki. They both had slightly scruffy fur, although Chaltuu's was much more obviously so, and almond-shaped eyes with a cold glare... And similarly-looking noses, but that was where their correspondence ended. The ruddy lioness looked absolutely nothing like Shujaa or Ua, and the only trait that the two youngest sisters shared were their pretty blue eyes, although Ua's were much paler, almost a milky white shade. All four of the siblings looked so different that very few lions they had encountered in their travels had realized that they were related...

[She actually only resembles one of her sisters..]

Adofo: So....should we go say hi?
He was a little surprised the she had sisters. Then again, she hasn't really told him much about herself.
