Yeah, I agree. A thread for news and a thread for speculation.

I think it's too late for that, this thread is like 80 pages of speculation already.

Then why not keep this thread for speculation and make another with all the factual information? Most people don't read the whole thread so they might miss stuff that isn't just us guessing.

I tend to not like the "interactive" TV shows (which are more of the learning kind of). They just bore you to death if you know the answer to every question. xD But they are aimed for younger kids, so I can understand that (PLEASE don't let The Lion Guard be like that Disney).
Why? Why do people keep thinking this? Watch Sofia the First and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. If those are interactive, it will be in the same way. They said it will be like those shows.
Well, that's okay. Sofia the First wasn't "interactive", it just taught you things without asking you (I'm not even sure how educational Sofia the First is, it's basically just something younger kids can watch). Jake and the Neverland Pirates is more interactive, but it's not too bad.

Considering the amount of information we actually have about TLG we could probably fit it into just one post.

Also it would make finding the stuff people actually want to know easier.

And just because a show has educational content doesn't mean it can't be excellent entertainment.

Remember animaniacs? That show had educational songs but was very clever with it and the rest of the show was very sharply written. Not saying tlg will be on that level but we can hope right?

I don't really care if it's educational, as I've said before, I don't like the interactive TV shows (well, those are usually for younger kids, so I really shouldn't care xD). I'll try not to judge the show until we have more news on it, or until it comes out.
Although I do like how they kept the 2D animation though, an excellent choice by Disney.

I have also been thinking about this for a while but wouldn't it be neat if the Marvel side of Disney started doing comics based on their animated properties? Like, if the lion guard got a comic series that was aimed at a slightly older age than disney jr, like elementary schoolers?

I know marvel and Disney have a lion king comic but that's over 20 years old and was a straight adaptation of the film.

I found this article, about one of the writers for tlg. At the very least she seems to be very enthusiastic about it.

The thing that helps me keep hope it might be good is that the people behind tlg are happy to be working on it.

Kinda nervous if that is Kiara, but I'd probably get used to her design if it is.

Okay, I gotta admit, I really love that design, just not as Kiara. I'd be happy to see a design like that in the show as a brand new lioness, though.

Image is an Epic Mickey concept art. We could have had this in EM3. I still want it.
