I don't think there will be a sequel. I just don't see James Cameron doing that. Besides, the budget was enormous already and he would have a lot to uphold. Avatar also took many years to get it started, a sequel would probably ruin it in my opinion and it would be out probably for another 6-8 years.

It's already official.. Cameron and 20th Century Fox have already released that they are planning for the sequel... And that some of the actors from the original have already signed up to be in the sequel... You didn't think they'd let that kind of cash slip away did you? With the original getting over a billion worldwide already...

lol I know I saw on yahoo today as well. I showed Mike and he almost peed his pants. XD But in all honest truth, it just doesn't seem like Cameron to do a trilogy. I mean I'm not complaining, another Avatar will be freaking awesome, but I feel it will take away the orginialness of the first movie. If that makes since. :\

It's so surprise that there will be a sequel but I think it's a stupid idea. They should have left it off at the first movie. Not every movie has to have a sequel.
