The Lion Guard (2015 / 2016)

By intro I mean 30-45 seconds worth of a vocal song accompanied by visuals from the show.
I knew what you meant, Johnnie Boy. I haven't seen any shows recently, aside from the ones on ID, without an introduction. All of the Disney Junior shows I've seen have them, if this one didn't, it would be weird.
I haven't seen a live action show with one in ages and I am not very knowledgable about modern cartoons outside of ones that get a ton of memes like mlp fim, adventure time and regular show.

(I have seen full episodes of mlp fim and sofia the first but i'm very hazy on the intro part).

And as for simbasguard, i guess it depends on how educational this show wants to be. Real lion cubs can't get sweet rockin' mohawks or magical tattoos or learn special abilities like a 'roar of the elders'. So something tells me that it will not be completely accurate to reality.

I personally am really excited for The Lion Guard, though on youtube and tumblr a lot of the fandom tends to be rather hateful towards the show even though we don't even have a full trailer for it yet! The problem people seem to have is that it's going to be on Disney Junior and the target audience is very young children. Some have complained by saying that the target audience should have been 12-18, though I don't see the logic behind it since the original movies were aimed at young children as well. I feel frustrated at the lack of a chance people are giving The Lion Guard when it honestly seems like it's going to be a really cute show that will provide the fandom with glorious, glorious content.

It probably will. I've already seen a revive in the fandom on Deviantart and it's bringing a lot of discussion to the small group of us on Tumblr. New content always brings new fans into the fandom and old fans back. :D

I think it's best to keep your hype in check.

I want it to be good but it might turn out to be the opposite.

Excellent point, and something I should have considered, however since The Circle of Life will be a them of the show, I can't see an inter-species relationship happening.

I Agree, I am very excited for this show. However I know going it that it WILL NOT be as good as The Lion King.

Same here! I can't wait to meet Kion 8-)

I mean, what is as good as the lion king? Expecting tlg to be as good is just asking for dissapointment.

That doesn't mean tlg can't be entertaining. Or *gasp* be a worthy sequel story to the first two films.
