Hamadou: Why can't we do one but not the other?

"Because I've told you over and over again, I don't ever want to have a cub... But even though I admittedly don't like them, adopting isn't a bad idea," Chaltuu answered.

[Adofo]

Hamadou: But why? Why is giving birth to a cub so bad? Chaltuu......there's a reason for you not wanting too. ........Please......please if you love me......you'll tell me why. .....Please.
He said with an innocent and caring look. He wanted to know what was wrong.

(She has to have an actual reason. YOu don't just one day say, Nah I don't wanna give birth. THat's not how it works. There has to be factors behind decisions. Big or small.)

[Um, she DOES have an actual reason. Explained in Chaltuu's dialogue.
And also, I'm sorry, but judging by Hamadou's "I don't want to adopt" speech, are you against adoption or something?]

"Oh, you're trying to guilt trip me into telling you? What a stand-up lion you are," Chaltuu sneered with disgust. "Fine. I don't want cubs because first of all, I don't like them that much. And second of all, I don't want to raise someone who'll turn out to be awful. I don't want to take that chance, ever. Happy now?"

[Adofo]

(What?! NO!!! Of course not!!! I am so sorry!!!!! I did not mean for it to sound like that!!! I am really sorry! I've...actually considered adopting a kid one day when I'm married. Not that we won't have kids together but...to give some lucky child a new loving home! :3 )

Hamadou: Wha-......you think.....you think our cubs would grow up to be awful?! .....Chaltuu....why didn't you tell me?

[All right. I was just kind of offended by him acting like if a child is adopted, then they're not really their family just because the kid isn't "theirs".]

"Uh, Hamadou, I grew up to be awful," Chaltuu pointed out gruffly.

[Adofo]

Hamadou: You are not awful! Don't say that! Don't you ever say that! ...Look at you! You helped start a pride...you protect them and your home...you reunited with your best friend.....and you found a mate that loves you with all his being! You are not awful! ...You may act a little more gruffly but that is ONLY because of what your father did to you! Its all him! If he treated you good and loved you.....you would be nowhere close to who you are right now! .......I know its scary to raise something and then for it to one day hate you........but as long as you love it and do the best you can do.......there isn't a single doubt in my mind that our cubs wouldn't grow up to love you with all their hearts! I know that sounds ridiculous to you.....but there are somethings in life.....that when someone has a feeling about something........all you have to do is trust their feeling!

Hamadou: Adopted, not or both........our cubs wouldn't want anyone else in the world as their mother! .....I promise my life and soul on that.

"Thank you," Chaltuu said gruffly. "I guess I kind of needed to hear that."

Hamadou: Don't you ever think that again! If I were a cub, and if i didn't drool over you, I would honestly love to have you as my mother!
He said with a loving smile
