"I do trust you. But there's nothing going on 'deep down in my heart'," Chaltuu quoted, rolling her eyes. "I insist... I'm fine."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: No you're not! I can feel it in my heart! If you're telling the absolute truth...then swear on our love...that you aren't lying to me about your feelings!

[Iri]

"Why do you always assume I'm lying?" Chaltuu said, her temper flaring. "I'm not lying to you about my feelings, how many times do we have to go over this!?"

[Adofo]

He noticed she didn't swear to it. He knew that it meant he was right.
Hamadou: .....Until you tell me everything that goes on in your heart!
He said getting upset with some tears forming in his eyes

[Iri]

"You mean everything that does on in my mind?" Chaltuu retorted with a nasty sneer. "My heart just pumps blood, Hamadou, it doesn't do anything else."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: That's not true! The feeling if love is linked from your brain directly to your heart!

(Fact: You ACTUALLY can die from heartbreak. There is a reason your heart is called the love muscle. Every single feeling of love is connected directly to the heart. And when your heart "breaks" from some form of love issue, tissues in your heart that are like in the shape of tons of little strings all in your heart, they actually break when you are heart broken. And if enough of those stings break then you really CAN die from a broken heart)

[Yeah, I know that, actually. But people actually debate about it, and a lot of people say that it's your brain and someplace next to your stomach where you feel love, and NOT the heart. And frankly, I'm on their side about it.
But my question is, how does a lion know that?]

"I don't care what feelings of love are connected to what!" Chaltuu snarled. "I'm fine, Hamadou, and I'm not lying! And don't try to give me that 'I can see it in your eyes' garbage!"

[Adofo]

He said in a slightly sad and defeated tone

Chaltuu huffed. "You want to know what goes on 'deep down'? Fine. Sometimes I wonder if we should even be together. But I don't hate you, or even remotely dislike you. I do care about you, no doubt... but it seems like all we do is argue... And don't try to blame yourself for any of it. I'm the temperamental one, and usually it's my fault. Not yours."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: ..........I know this is a lot to ask.....but........do you think.........we can at least giving it a try of.........being more affectionate?
