Chaltuu shrugged. "Anything else?"

[Adofo]

Hamadou: Nothing I can think of right now that you don't already know. But can I ask you something? And I swear this isn't about why you won't.....I just wanna know. ...Why do you not want cubs? I mean......you seemed to care a surprisingly great deal for Ua even though we had no idea who she was. So....you obviously don't completely hate cubs.

"That's an exaggeration, and I'm pretty sure both of us know it," Chaltuu replied coolly. "I'm not going to lie, I do care about her, but saying I care a 'surprisingly great deal' about her is an overstatement, Hamadou. I do love her, but I don't think you realize that it's difficult to bond with a sibling you've never met."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: .....Yeah.....but you still didn't answer my question. ........Is it because......maybe......you're worried they won't like you?

[Iri]

"No," Chaltuu snorted. "I don't worry over garbage like that. But you and I both know I have no maternal instinct."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: I know.....but for most lionesses.....once they become pregnant....they suddenly get a burst of maternal instincts! I mean......you couldn't be closer to someone than someone that grew inside of you. Besides.......I know you'd be a wonderful mother.....and they'd love you to death! ........But I'm still not asking you to consider having any. It's purely your choice and yours alone.

"Well, thank you," Chaltuu replied. "But for your argument of, 'once they become pregnant, they suddenly get their maternal instincts'... How would you know? You're not a lioness, and you've never been expectant of cubs."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: I've seen it happen many times in your father's pride. Some of the grumpiest and coldest lionesses......became some of the best mothers I've ever seen.

[Iri]

"Somehow I have a hard time believing that," Chaltuu said. "You know, nobody changes their personality at the flick of a tail."

[Adofo]

Hamadou: You'd be surprised. ........And I still think you would make a great mother!
