Is the "Shift" key on the keyboard really that hard to find? Capitals are important, as is punctuation. Why can't people use it? Is it laziness? Cos gee it's so hard to hit a different key on the keyboard while you're typing...

^I personally use the Caps Lock button whenever I'm capitalizing letters, just because it's easier for me, especially when I'm typing fast.
