I found it to be quite trite and distasteful.

It would have been different if anyone had been creative in any way. Instead all of it was like so:

"i'm winning now", "you were winning for too long", etc.

No contribution, nothing worthwhile, no entertainment value... dull, lacking quality or substance... no personality... it's just sad. It's no wonder this thread for the longest time was just a .gif-fest. Has more use like that, than with those meaningless "now I'm winning" posts...

Technically, the point of this topic is "winning" so there's no wonder that posts of "I'm winning" are repeated nonstop.
But, for example, right now, we're having a normal conversation and I'm fulfilling the topic's objective. It's a matter of whether you have fun with the topic or not, IMO.

Yes the point is winning by having the last post, but there was nothing to those posts. In the past they had substance, personality and creativity. Pages of endless bland posts is not even entertaining, and is therefore pointless. If every page reads the same and each person is a broken record of each other/themselves, then there's no use for this thread. There are other threads that fulfill the same purpose without being... like that.

Well, having the same things repeated nonstop can get annoying, but I was talking about near the 1K page. Right before we got to the page, many people were at war, hoping to be the first one to have posted on it. There was more conversation to it besides "I win", which was nice.

Well, I haven't seen it be anything other than needlessly repetitive in recent times. If people would put some thought into it, it would be different.

Yes, it would be different. If somehow it gets back to chaos, I would definitely make sure I wasn't too repetitive.

But those times are over now. Now people are submitting to you, so they will still have a place on the very last page.
